
In 2011, The School of Integrated Planning and Design was beginning the process of establishing a new school and curriculum from three currently disparate design programs on the UBC campus. No longer content to hide in the background, the new school was to meet a vast curriculum and stand-up to a campus design and environmental ethic - vibrant landscapes in the inbetween spaces link major campus connections with desire paths while the building itself serves as a radiant beacon of student energy and a model of campus sustainability.
